A system bet is an accumulation of two or more parlay bets on the same betslip. The reason for placing system bets is that it gives you the opportunity to secure some winnings even if you miss one or more outcomes on the betslip.

System bet examples

2 out of 3 System bet

The simplest and most common system to explain is the 2 out of 3 system. It means you have three fixtures on your betslip, but even if one is lost, you can still partially win the bet. How does it work? Let's consider three fixtures: Fixture A, B, and C.

Example:
Wager: 12€
Bet A (Price 1.5); Bet B (1.85) and Bet C(2.00).
1st bet: A + B
2nd bet: A + C
3rd bet: B + C

Bet A
Bet B
Bet C

Winnings : 4€ X 1.85 X 3 = 14.8€

So, you can see that there are three different parlays in the 2 out of 3 system bet, and your stake will be divided by 3. Therefore, each combination will be wagered with 4€ in this case. If matches B and C win, your stake of 4€ will be multiplied by the odds from those two matches. In the case that all three matches win, you will win all three combinations, and the winnings from all three combinations will be added together to determine your total winnings.

System bet 2 out of 4

So basically, that follows the same logic as 2 out of 3; the only difference is that you have more possible combinations since there are 4 fixtures. As you have chosen 2 out of 4, you will need just 2 bets to be correct in order to receive a partial winning payout. That makes a total of 6 possible combinations and your stake will be divided by 6. In case you have 3 fixtures correct, all possible 2-way combinations are formed from the four tips, and if all 4 fixtures are correctly predicted all combinations will be added for the maximum winnings.

Possible combinations:

AB
AC
AD
BC
BD
CD

System 3 out of 4

You can now play with the systems as you want, but they all follow the same logic: the first number will determine the number of bets you need to have correct in order to get a partial winning. In the case of 3 out of 4, you will have four different possible combinations:

ABC
ABD
ACD
BCD

Special system bets

You can also combine the system combinations on the same betslip, resulting in a greater number of possible combinations. While the chances of winning increase, combining them may reduce the payouts.

2,3 and 4 out of 4 (2/3/4 out of 4)

So, it is essentially the same as having three different betslips in one. You will have one for 2 out of 4, one for 3 out of 4, and one for 4 out of 4 (which is essentially just a normal parlay), all in a single betslip.

Example:
If A, B, and C are won, the following combinations, when added together, will determine your winnings. So you have 3 times a double and once a triple correct which will determine your payout.

AB
AC
AD
BC
BD
CD
ABC
ABD
ACD
BCD
ABCD

In this kind of combination you can even add all the singles and you will have 4 more singles added to the system, so instead of 11 you will have 15 combinations.

Bank System

All of the previously mentioned possible systems might not be sufficient for you, and you can add bank games to your betslips. What exactly are the bank games on the betslip? If you are highly confident in a particular match or market, you might consider adding it to the system as a bank match. This means the match is outside the chosen system, and if that match is lost, the entire system will be lost even if the rest of the system is correct. You can add even more bank matches to your system.

Example:
You choose 2 bank matches, which we will mark as A and B, along with another 3 matches using a 2 out of 3 system, which are the matches C, D, and E.

AB + CD
AB + CE
AB + DE

In the event that games A, B, C, and D are winning, the first combination will be successful. However, if either A or B loses, all the combinations are lost.

Conclusion

System bets are almost never used by professional bettors. Customers who aim to reduce their risk might utilize systems to recoup a portion of the stake if a few games on the betslip are lost. To enhance your winnings, if you are confident that a team will win, you can designate this match as a bank and boost the potential winnings at the cost of the bank match.
