Zidane: Bale never said he wants to leave the club

Zinedine Zidane can't catch a break with having a full squad at his disposal at Real Madrid. As soon as the injury crisis died down, with only Nacho and Marco Asensio out currently, Gareth Bale left the team for an undisclosed reason. The popular Zizu discussed the player's status while strongly stating that the club doesn't have a problem with Bale.

The Welshman was spotted in London on Monday, which led to speculations that he was holding conversations with his agent, regarding a possible move to China. As the winger was already seen there in the summer and Zidane even saying the sooner he leaves, the better.

Bale is currently injured, with an unspecified cal problem, but Zidane said that the reasons for his London visit are personal.

"He spoke directly with the club because he had personal reasons and he's entitled to do it. I can't say what's going on. Every player has the right to keep personal, that's all. So two things - it was personal and he got permission from the club," said Zizu.

The Frenchman said there were no indications that the 30-year-old wants to leave Santiago Bernabeu.

"There's not a story to tell. He went to London because he's not available, but he never said that he wants to leave the club. He's here and if he can train he does it, and if he can play he does it."

"There won't be any offers, I don't think so. I'm not thinking about that anyway. Gareth is a Real Madrid player and things will be discussed next January, next June at the latest. But so far, he's here and I'm happy with him."

Despite what seemed like harsh words in the summer, Zidane is adamant that the two are understanding of each other.

"We have a good relationship. The player is here, he wants to achieve things, he makes an effort, he trains. Many things are said but, at the end, we all know, and you all know, what kind of player he is when he's fit, when he's 100 per cent. If he's not available then he's not."

Zidane was asked whether he expects the club to sell Bale in the next transfer window.

"There won't be any offers, I don't think so. I'm not thinking about that anyway. Gareth is a Real Madrid player and things will be discussed next January, next June at the latest. But so far, he's here and I'm happy with him."
