Second Turk at Leicester - exciting talent Under goes to the Premier League

As announced in our article of 10 transfers bound to happen before the transfer window is up, Cengiz Under has joined Leicester City on loan from Roma.

The Turkish international arrives on a one-year loan with an option to buy in the end. The Italian side wanted to secure the sale with an obligation to buy but the Foxes were too sly. If injuries don't derail Under's debut season at King Power stadium, and his performances match his reputation, there's no reason LCFC won't pay the agreed upon €24,000,000.

Under arrived at Roma in 2017 with a lot of hype as being one of the top Turkish talents and justified the talk mostly in 88 appearances for Giallorossi, that saw him score 17 and assist 12 goals.

The 23-year-old winger that can play on both sides and in the centre as an attacking midfielder played 21 times for his country. At Leicester, he will have a familiar face in the combative centre-back Caglar Soyuncu.

"I feel very good because my best friend plays for Leicester City. I am very happy to be able to play with Caglar Soyuncu and I always watched Leicester’s games because of him," said Under.

The creative Turk stated his intentions of making a lot of chances for his colleagues and will be a worthy addition to a side that just barely missed out on top four last season.

"Thanks to Brendan Rodgers, all the staff and management, for trusting me in this new chapter. Also I’m grateful to my family and my agent who always supported me. I can't wait to reflect my passion to the field. I can’t wait to go to Leicester and start training. I’ve always wanted to play in England and this is a great opportunity to play in the Premier League," said Under.
