Real Madrid lose Varane for the Chelsea match, Mbappe doubtful for PSG

In La Liga, Real Madrid scored 58 goals. They've also recorded their 58th injury of the season as Raphael Varane is out with a leg injury and is set to miss out on the Champions League semi-final against Chelsea!

The 28-year-old defender felt pain in his right leg during the first half of Los Blancos' 2:0 win over Osasuna on Saturday and was replaced at the break by Nacho. Due to his injury that will keep him out of play until the middle of May, Real will have a decimated backline when facing in-form Blues.

"After the tests carried out today on our player Raphael Varane by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he was diagnosed with an injury to the right abductor muscles."

Before Varane was injured, Sergio Ramos was. The Spaniard is believed to be ready for the game but wasn't match ready for the weekend. He didn't play for several weeks and his last 90-minute game came all the way back in January!

Zinedine Zidane has other problems in the backline as Dani Carvajal is out for the season most likely. Marcelo was doubtful for the game as well due to Murphy's law as he was chosen to be an official at Madrid's local election duties. Yet he will finish his civil duties and will be ready to battle if needed. Although Ferland Mendy is the more likely starter. Lucas Vazquez is also out for tonight's match and Zizu has an uphill battle against Thomas Tuchel's side.

In the other semifinal, Paris Saint-Germain might miss out on their key player Kylian Mbappe. The French forward has trained individually in the past days and is still uncertain for tonight's game in which PSG has catching up to do against Manchester City.
