Milan are keeping busy: A loan with an option to sign for €30,000,000 arrives!

AC Milan are surprisingly at the top of the table in Serie A and the club's directors are doing everything they can to help the manager Stefano Pioli to secure the Scudetto. A third signing has arrived at San Siro this January!

After central-midfielder Soualiho Meite arrived on a loan from Torino, veteran striker Mario Mandzukic came as a free agent, Milan have secured a reinforcement in defence too!

Fikayo Tomori arrived from Chelsea on a loan for the remainder of the season. The 23-year-old centre-back could stay in Italy for a long time as the deal has an optional buyout clause set at €30,000,000.

It seems highly unlikely that Rossoneri will pay this sum for a player with only 17 Premier League appearances, as he did most of his loans in the Championship, but he has a stage to impress.

"Honoured to have this opportunity to fight for this great club, I can’t wait to show myself on the pitch," wrote Tomori on Instagram.

Oluwafikayomi Oluwadamilola Tomori is how Milan presented the player on their website revealing one of the most unusual names in world-football to the broader public.

As far as Chelsea is concerned, the club stated that Tomori moved on to further his development. While noting that he made 27 appearances for the Blues so far, including four this season. Proudly boasting that he is a Stamford Bridge academy product being with the club since the under 8 team.

He is already in the team squad for the game against Atalanta, as Alessio Romagnoli is suspended, with Simon Kjaer not 100 per cent fit either.
