Kun is the best goalscorer of the decade in the Premier League

We covered the goalkeepers with the most saves in the last decade of the Premier League, as well as the players with the most assists. Now it's time for the crown prize - the top scorer of the decade in the English top division.

By far the most superior is Sergio Kun Aguero. Manchester City's striker had the best moment of the decade when he led the CItizens to their first title in recent history with a stoppage-time goal against QPR. But in the grand scheme of things, that goal was one of 174. As Pep Guardiola said recently, he truly is irreplaceable.

England's own Harry Kane is the next in line with 136 goals for Tottenham, even though he only became standard for Spurs in the 2014/2015 season. His best goalscoring season was the 2016/2017 in terms of ratio as he scored 29 times in 30 PL games. The next campaign he got 30 goals in 37 matches.

Another Englishman is third on the list and it's also impressive to see him there and so high as he started playing regularly in the 2002/2003 season. Wayne Rooney managed 114 goals despite spending the last two years in the MLS.

One goal fewer, 113, set Romelu Lukaku to the fourth spot despite being regarded as a failed investment for Manchester United, having scored only 28 times in the league over two seasons for the Red Devils. His WBA and Everton stints help his score a lot, and especially the last season at Goodison when he scored 25 goals.

Spending five and a half seasons of the 2010s in the Premier League, playing for Arsenal and Manchester United were enough for Robin Van Persie to come close to a 100 goals. He scored 98 of them in this decade, many of them memorable.

Starting the decade in the seventh tier of English football, Jamie Vardy's ascension to the top 10 goalscorers of the decade in the PL is equally as miraculous as Leicester City's title win. Vardy bagged himself 97 goals in the top rank since the 2014/2015 season.

While the Premier League's top scorer of the decade is an easy guess, the one for Serie A is quite surprising and impressive.

Besides Rooney, Eden Hazard is the only player to have found his spot in both top 10 for goals and assists. He scored 85 times for Chelsea since arriving at Stamford Bridge in 2012.

He scored only five goals across the current and last two seasons, but Olivier Giroud did most of his scoring for Arsenal, not Chelsea. The Frenchman has 78 PL goals to his name since arriving from Montpellier back in 2012.

Just a goal fewer is the record of Raheem Sterling, the winger flourished in the last two and a half seasons and greatly improved his goalscoring ability. His finishing record for Liverpool and the first two seasons at City weren't indicating that Sterling would be even close to this list.

Starting at Southampton in 2014, Liverpool's Sadio Mane has impressed the fans and has 76 goals in the league from a more wider position as well.
