Juventus and Napoli in Coppa Italia final

13.6.2020.

Italian champions Juventus reached the Copa Italia final after they beat AC Milan on away goal rule.

Football in Italy is back! The most popular sport in Italy was discontinued on March 9 while league returns on June 20 with leaders Juve one point above of Lazio with 12 fixtures remaining.

The second leg games of Copa Italia are ended and we have finalists - Juve and Napoli.

After 1-1 in Milano on February 13, Juventus couldn't score in the second leg at home in a game without fans in stands.

The show for TV screens started with both teams emerging separately from the tunnel before the game start, while the minute's silence for coronavirus pandemic victims was followed with long applause for medical workers.

With the empty stands, the game sounded like training at moments and the first excitement came when the referee asked for a VAR following a handball and awarded hosts a penalty.

However, Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty awarded in the 16th minute. Just a few minutes later, Milan's Ante Rebic did an ugly start on Danilo which earned him a red card.

Milan couldn't do something big with 10 players. Most of the game was about Juventus - which players looked more ready for the season's return.

Bianconerri pressed Milan's players with Blaise Matuidi's shot forcing a strong effort by Gianluigi Donnarumma before Paulo Dybala was close to goal but once again Donnarumma was confident.

In the second semifinals game, Napoli holds Inter to 1-1 and it was enough for a final as they won in first game 1-0 on the road.

Inter's midfielder Cristian Eriksen opened the game early, in the second minute, while Belgian Dries Mertens denied lead with a goal in 41' to put the final result of the game.

Juve's boss Maurizio Sarri will face his former club Napoli in Wednesday's final game, which will be played in Rome.
