Inter confirm offer for Eriksen, a deal for Moses is agreed on

Inter executives were listening to Antonio Conte's complaints that his side is too thin. And as Neroazzurri are just four points behind Juventus and have a decent chance of fighting for the title the board have decided to try and win the January transfer market.

A few days after Ashley Young arrived from Manchester United on a permanent deal Inter's director of football Piero Ausilio confirmed an offer has been made for Christian Eriksen. But also that a deal has been made for Victor Moses.

"We have made a formal offer for Eriksen and now we are waiting for a response from Tottenham. We can only sit and wait now, as there are many clubs interested, he is a top player who has naturally attracted interest from the most important clubs in Europe. It’s very difficult, but we’ll try to do everything possible," said the director of sport.

Inter and the Dane agreed on personal terms and Eriksen will earn €10,000,000 per season but the transfer fee is still being negotiated. Sprus want the modest €20,000,000 but the Italian side is offering €15,000,000 plus €3,000,000 in performance bonuses.

Conte worked with Moses when he was leading Chelsea and made the winger one of the best wing-backs in those two seasons. The 29-year-old Nigerian was on an 18-month loan deal at Fenerbahce but will cut his deal six months short and move to Inter on a loan with an option to buy for €10,000,000.

"We’ve reached a basic agreement with Chelsea for Victor Moses," confirmed Ausilio.

But the revamped Italian side did hit a roadblock in one of their deals as a deal for Roma wing-back Leonardo Spinazzola fell apart after the medical.

Additionally, Inter are waiting for the departure of one of their forwards before Olivier Giroud can join the club and that will most likely be Matteo Politano.

“Olivier Giroud is a possibility if we sell one of our forwards on the transfer market. Politano is an asset for this club, if we have the opportunity to make him happy with a move, then we will take it."
