Hansi Flick signs permanent deal with Bayern Munich

Head coach of Bayern Munich Hansi Flick made the agreement with the board in a deal to keep him at the club until 2023.

The 55-year-old coach joined the club last season as the assistant of Niko Kovac and was appointed as caretaker manager after Croatian was sacked by the club.

Many sceptics predicted Flick to stay just for a few games with the team, but he showed great skills for leading such a superclub.

Firstly, German got a permanent deal in December until the end of the season, following a good run of 18 wins in his 21 matches in charge. The new deal will keep him at the club for the additional three years.

Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is very pleased that Flick will continue working in Munich.

"We are very happy with Hansi Flick's work. The team has developed well under him and are playing attractive football."

"We are the only German club still involved in all three competitions, and I like the way that Hansi leads the team."

"His personal qualities and his empathy speak volumes for him. Bayern Munich trusts him and we are convinced that we will reach our future goals with him."

Flick is of course, delighted to stay on the bench of the Bavarian giant.

“I cannot wait to face new challenges together with my staff and team. Together we have defined the direction for the coming years."

"I am sure we can work together to achieve them," Flick stated.
