Bayern and Dortmund in a battle over a Czech wonderkid!

Six points plus on the table for Bayern Munich implies that Borussia Dortmund is out of the title fight with the champions. Yet, BVB has a new front with the Bavarians, a one they have a much better chance at winning. Both German giants have locked eyes on a Czech wonderkid Adam Hlozek, and are in a race to sign the prodigy.

A versatile forward that plays up front or behind the primary striker, Hlozek recorded five goals and 11 assists in the 18 games of Fortuna Liga this season with his Sparta Prague. Overall, he has six goals and 12 assists in 27 games, including four in the Champions League.

Aged 19, yet already capped 12 times by the Czech Republic's senior national team, Hlozek is an established player. His overall return with Sparta, at 34 goals and 33 assists in 112 games resembles the success Dominik Szoboszlai had at Red Bull Salzburg.

Now Hlozek is eying a move to the Bundesliga as he is ready to make the step up in competition. Although Bayern might be a more prestigious option, the Bavarians' first team is harder to get into than Borussia's, especially after the summer when Erling Haaland most likely leaves.

Hlozek's contract with Sparta Prague runs through 2024. Hence, the 188 centimetres tall forward will reportedly cost around €25,000,000 to buy now, which is a record-breaking sum for outgoing transfers from the Czech Fortuna league. So far, it has been held by Tomas Soucek's move to West Ham for €16,200,000.

Yet the German clubs are not the lone admirers of Hlozek. Naturally, West Ham, the biggest Czech colony in the top five leagues, with a Czech owner, has looked into signing the youngster. While Juventus is also keeping the tabs on Hlozek, with their director, Pavel Nedved, a Czech footballing legend probably the main cause behind.
