Arsenal to sign former kid sensation Martin Odegaard in another massive deal

After a disappointing start to the season, losing to Premier League newcomers Brentford 2:0, Arsenal is close to another massive transfer. The Gunners brought in Ben White for €58,500,000 and now they are close to another enormous signing, bringing their spending well beyond €100,000,000.

Martin Odegaard, the player who spent the last half-season on loan with the Gunners, is set for a permanent switch as the north London side is looking for a long-term Mesut Ozil replacement. Odegaard has been in the limelight from his early teenage years as he became a viral sensation before Real Madrid snatched him.

Yet Odegaard never got the trust at Santiago Bernabeu, playing only 11 games, 489 minutes since arriving in 2015. At Arsenal last season, he played 20 games scoring and assisting twice. Now the Gunners are on the verge of concluding a €40,000,000 transfer for the 22-year-old Norwegian, who will sign a five-year deal with the EPL side.

Arsenal are also still hoping to sign Aaron Ramsdale from Sheffield United and have reopened negotiations for the English keeper, although a figure north of €35,000,000 would be needed for the Blades to accept.

With Albert Sambi Lokonga arriving for €20,000,000 and Nuno Tavares for €9,360,000, that will bring Arsenal's spending for the season to approximately €163,000,000 or higher! A record spending season, including winter transfers, for Arsenal was when they signed Pepe for €80,000,000 in the 2019/2020 campaign.

Recent reports in England stated also that Arsenal is also considering doing a swap deal for their captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with Barcelona flop Philippe Coutinho. Barca needs a striker now that Sergio Aguero is injured and Auba was in their crosshairs for years. While Arsenal is hoping that Coutinho will find his Premier League form as he scored 54 and assisted 45 in 201 games for Liverpool.
