Alcacer moves away from Haaland’s path, Emre Can joins BVB

59 minutes and probably several training sessions were enough for Paco Alcacer to realize that he has been utterly replaced at Westfalen. Erling Braut Haaland is the talk of the club and of Europe and it was only a matter of time before he becomes the first option. As the former Barcelona striker Alcacer was already a plan B this season, he has decided to move back to Spain.

It all started extremely well for the 26-year-old Spaniard in Germany, as he scored 18 goals in 26 matches last season in the Bundesliga alone. Even this year he wasn't abysmal as he scored five times across 11 games and 527 minutes played. But the injuries and especially the arrival of Haaland signalled that Alcacer was never going to have the impact of Robert Lewandowski or Pierre Emmerick-Aubameyang.

BVB reportedly brought in Alcacer for €21,000,000 from Barcelona, and they sold him for just two millions more. Villarreal being the happy buyer of the man who has a great record for Spain also, 19 games and 12 goals.

Even though Alcacer was a great substitute and leaves with a solid record of 26 goals in 47 matches, a goal every 96 minutes, BVB fans didn't have the time to mourn his goodbye.

The German side has finished another massive incoming transfer this winter.

After long and strenuous negotiations Juventus and BVB have agreed on a deal for the German international Emre Can. The midfielder has moved back to the Bundesliga on a loan for six months, with BVB paying €1,000,000 for it. Juve revealed the details of the transfer and stated that Borussia has an obligation to pay €25,000,000 for the player and that the payment rate will be spread out over three years.

"I believe that the BVB team has great potential and can win something. I’m convinced that I can help them to do this. I want to get stuck in; I’ve always had a liking for this club and I can’t wait for the first opportunity to play in front of these fans, who have made Borussia Dortmund famous across the whole world," said Can upon arriving.

Borussia was really busy in the last transfer day and sold Jacob Bruun Larsen to Hoffenheim as the youngster didn't like the time he was getting at Westfalen. Dortmund earned €10,000,000 for the sale of the 21-year-old who has been at the club for five years.
