As part of the 3rd round of Group G of the European Conference League, Vitesse and London's Tottenham will meet at 6.45 pm CET in Arnhem, Netherlands. The hosts have three points after the victory over Slovenian Mura and the defeat by French Lens, while Tottenham is on four points as well as Rennes.

Vitesse as a representative of the strong football state of Netherlands and was not very lucky in the draw because he won Tottenham and Rennes, two very strong rivals, but far from not cultivating ambitions in Arnhem for the first two places in the group. Vitesse is a good team, they are close to the top in the 1st Dutch league, they recently beat the strong Feyenoord 2: 1 at home. This match with Tottenham is a real treat for them, the stands will be full because the stadium is sold out and the guests from London are coming without a dozen important players. The hosts believe that they can be more than equal, and get a positive result. - We were happy when we reached the group stage. We are now also meeting the Champions League finalist from two years ago. We know who they are and we respect them, but we also look at our chances of achieving results.

Although the Spurs ’focus is mostly on the Premier League and you don’t know exactly who will appear to them at the start of the game, they have a lot of quality. It is up to us to find solutions and spaces and to keep the defense closed. As for the latter, we have conceded fewer goals lately. We believe in ourselves and in our plan. It is a mixture of three elements: enjoyment, struggle and following the plan. If we do this well, I am convinced that we have a chance - says the home coach Thomas Letsch, who has practically the strongest team available, only the young defender Manhoef and reserve goalkeeper Reiziger are missing.

Vitesse will not give up on his recognizable offensive style of play, and he is working on a club record, as he has already scored six times in a row in Europe. The last twelve goals have been scored by nine different players. Only Maximilian Wittek (three) and Matuš Bero (two) were accurate several times.

The hosts should be lined up in their usual 3-4-3 setup against Tottenham, with German goalkeeper Markus Schubert and three-man central defensive unit ought to be formed by Bazoer, Rasmussen and captain Danilho Doekhi. The three center-backs will look to remain compact off the ball, seeing as they will receive support from the wing-backs, who will drop back to create a back five.

Speaking of, Maximilian Wittek and Eli Dasa will continue as the wing-backs, with the duo providing the width in the final third. In midfield, Tronstad will line up alongside Tannane, with the Norwegian looking to keep things tight in the middle of the park. Finally, Lois Openda will likely lead the attack line with Fredericksen and Oussama Darfalou.

The third strongest European competition is not so attractive for Tottenham and since the first game, coach Nuno Espirito Santo has been resting important players in it. So it will be this time as well, so none of the outfield players who started in Sunday’s 3: 2 league win at Newcastle have made the trip to the Netherlands for Thursday’s match.

- We respect all competitions, we respect all the games, and we consider that it's better for us to start the players that are going to start, leave some players here, work, recover well, so we can be able to compete better on the Sunday, and then we have Wednesday, and over and over again - said Espirito Santo.

Spurs will be without winger Ryan Sessegnon, who continues to recover from a hamstring injury, while right-back Matt Doherty is suffering with a knock. Goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini may be handed a start between the sticks, while defenders Tanganga, Davinson Sanchez and Davies could be into the back four at the expense of Emerson Royal, Cristian Romero and Sergio Reguilon. Harry Winks will be hoping he can force his way into the starting line-up ahead of either Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg or Oliver Skipp, while Dele Alli, Giovani Lo Celso and Bryan Gil are all expected to play, given that Kane, Son , Moura and Ndombele among the players who stayed in London.

- They are very aggressive, very dynamic, a back three becomes a back five, not too many gaps and really dangerous on the counter. No matter which competition, teams are always tough, especially at home. We felt that in France, in Portugal and this will be tough, but I'm really positive about what we want to do in terms of our game, so let's put our tasks in the game, give freedom to the players, and we will need all our players, just look at the schedule ahead - said Espirito Santo.

Vitesse has a big motive in this match, and Tottenham come with a reserve squad and I don’t see him as a favorite as the bookmakers say. Too many important players are missing from the guests, and Vitesse has the quality to remain undefeated in this match...
