First game on the Turkisk national team coaching bench for 58-year old German Stefan Kuntz who succeeds Senol Guenes who left after a bad string of results culminating at this summers EURO competition in which Turkey had been the worst team of the whole tournament losing all of the 3 group games with a goal margin of 1:8. Kuntz. who already played for Besiktas Istanbul in the late 90s   is famous for being a great motivator. He is a real players coach who had just won the EURO title with the German U21 National team a squad that for sure was not blessed with real big quality players but mainly thanks to Kuntz" ability to form a real team they had surprisingly managed to win the title. I also believe that he will revitalize the Turkish National team that urgently has to strike back from a harsh 6-goal  defeat against group leader The Netherlands in order to uphold realistic chances for qualifying to the next World Cup. Norway with big problems for this game as their world-class striker Erling Haaland will not be available as well as the 2nd best attacker Alexander Soerloth: Both are injured and the big question now is who may be able to score against the Turkish defense. Interesting facts that bolster the pick are Norways bad stats against Turkey winning no game since February 2000. Also game 1 in this group phase at Norway ended with a 3:0 Turkey win. Seems that Turkey loves to play against the Scandinavians and that Norway may be the right contender for Stefan Kuntz and his squad at the very beginning of a supposed-to-be new era of Turkish National team football.

HALF LOST Score: 1:1 Profit: -0.5
