France - Ligue 1, 32nd Round

We are in the Round 32 of the French Ligue 1. The defending champions, PSG is visiting the 13th placed Strasbourg.

I'm aware this is a tricky spot for PSG, the so called sandwich game between two very important Champions League clashes with Bayern Munich. Plus there are few issues for the coach Mauricio Pochettino about injured and suspended players. But I'm still ready to trust to the road team to take the job done today on this visit, at least I'm ready to risk when we have such odds. Realistically you won't see so often PSG priced with 1.70 away against one of the sides from the bottom third of the standings.

Recent form of the teams:

Strasbourg has won the last time out. It was important 2:3 road victory against Bordeaux. On this way Strasbourg has stopped the two games losing streak (1:0 road loss to Rennes and 1:2 home loss vs Lens).

PSG on the other side has suffered 0:1 home loss from the new league leader, Lille. Surprisingly that was even third straight home loss for Pochettino's team (Monaco and Nantes earlier). But away from home was where PSG is killing it lately as in the French League as well in the UEFA Champions League. Namely four straight road wins for PSG in the Ligue 1 and eight straight road wins overall counting all competitions. This includes of course also away win in Munich against Bayern, 2:3 few days ago.

So, PSG has achieved great result in Germany first of all thanks to Kylian Mbappe who has scored twice. Other than him, Marquinhos was able to find the net but he later was forced to leave the game due to injury and isn't available for today.

Neymar is also out after a two-game ban following due to red card against Lille.

Marco Verratti and Alessandro Florenzi are out due to Covid 19. Layvin Kurzawa and Mauro Icardi are injured. Abdou Diallo is unavailable due to illness.

So lot of guys out but PSG should still have enough power to earn at least minimal victory.

    Additional info:

The hosts is not with full squad either. They have their own issues. Lebo Mothiba is out with knee injury.
As for Alexander Djiku and Mohamed Simakan, their recovering process is going better but still, both are not available yet.

There wasn't too much time left to meet the necessary time frame for posting picks, so I wasn't too much detailed as usual. In any case, let's put few more sentences here in the comment section.

It's clear PSG can't be on 100% today with all these absent players. It's clear also they are thinking about revenge with Bayern (April the 13th) where the job is not finished yet no matter of great result in Germany. I know for PSG Champions League is very important cause they wants finally to go all the way there.

But, no one can convince me that PSG doesn't care about national league. Lille has won yesterday and the points difference now on the top is 6 pts with PSG having this game in their hands. I'm very positive Paris team will do everything they can to win all three points today.
The bottom line, everything is in odds. If PSG is with better situation about its squad while we have really low odds, I surely wouldn't be interested. But, odds around 1.75 for PSG on the visit at the opponent who lost even seven games at home (out of 15) and who is bottom third on the standings, in my opinion such odds on PSG are nice value even when they are missing few important players.
