Match date: 11/04/2021

Possible starting lineups:

Skorupski; De Silvestri, Danilo, Soumaoro, Dijks; Schouten, Svanberg; Skov Olsen, Soriano, Barrow; Palacio

I expect Roma to win this match. But first about the team news. Fonseca will be missing Stephan El Shaarawy, Marash Kumbulla, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Chris Smalling through injuries. Right-back Rick Karsdorp served the European ban and should start here. Mihajlovic will have the goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski available as he has overcome COVID-19 infection. Defenders Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ibrahima Mbaye are struggling with muscle injuries and they are both rated as doubtful. Midfielder Gary Medel is sidelined with a calf injury.

Roma are excellent in Europe so far. On Thursday they beat Ajax in Amsterdam with 2:1 and came close to the semi-final. The atmosphere in the squad is very good, while the players confidence is high. Roma are fantastic in the knock-out stage, winning twice against the Portuguese side Braga and Shakhtar Donetsk from Ukraine. Coach Paulo Fonseca is under big pressure, but a success in Europe will make his position very strong.

Bologna suffered a defeat last weekend. Yes, it is true the defeat came against the league leaders and probably the new champions Inter, but anyway, every defeat have negative impact. Roma have the home advantage and the players confidence is on their side. Finally, I think the quality is on Roma side. It won't be easy, but at the end I expect Roma to collect the points.
