Rennes and Sevilla are playing the match of the last 6th round of Group E in Champions League, and it has no result significance. Sevilla is certainly second and has advanced to the knockout stage, while Rennes is certainly fourth because they only have one point.
Both coaches have announced rotations in the squad, especially of Sevilla, while for the hosts this is a game of pride and honor, and should have a bigger motive.

In Rennes, they believe they had to have more points, and they especially regret the last two games against Chelsea and Krasnodar, when they were minimally defeated. In the last game Rennes will try to win, and coach Julien Stephan says:

- My players are full of desire, but we're low in confidence. Their quality hasn't disappeared overnight, we just need to find a way to boost the confidence throughout the squad. We have to focus on ourselves. We know we're going to play a very good team regardless of their starting 11.

One win in last 13 competitive matches doesn't bode well, but Rennes have played a lot better in the Champions League group stage than one point suggests.

- We are capable of an upset against Sevilla - said defender Damien Da Silva and striker M'Baye Niang is set to make his first Champions start. He's been working his way back to fitness after an aborted summer move out of Rennes. With Serhou Guirassy sidelined and Adrien Hunou not in great form, Niang is the man to lead the attack of the home team tonight.

Also, Rennes has a chance to exploit Sevilla's lack of regular full-backs in this match and right-winger Doku has shown he can cause anyone problems, while Maouassa, who's only played once so far, is a handful getting forward from left-back.

In the first match at the end of October, Sevilla was much better than Rennes, but they only won 1:0, but the big question is how many players from that match will play tonight.
Six players did not go on the road in France (Navas, Jordan, Acuna, Escudero Munir, Vaclik), and coach Lopetegui announced an experimental line-up with a completely different schedule in the back line as Navas and Escudero are absent.
Also, there will be a first start for midfielder Suso since the 20 October trip to Chelsea. It comes after his appearance off the bench in Saturday's 1:0 home loss against Real Madrid, following his return from a muscular problem. Also, strikers En-Nesyri and Idrissi are likely to wait for an opportunity from the bench.

- In every Champions League game you have to be prepared. Your opponent will do the same. They will want to finish the group stage well. They are a good team, one of the best teams in France last season - said caoch Julen Lopetegui, and the host is respected by the experienced midfielder of the guests Nemanja Gudelj:

- We have already seen that Rennes are a team with quality, with good players. Now they have a more complete team with players returning who were unable to play in the reverse fixture. We will have to be at our best to win.

Bookmakers favor Sevilla to win, but we have the impression that in this match everything is possible, that it will be tied and bring goals because of relief of both rivals and many experiments in the team, especially in defense."

    InsideSport: Well done!

The result is 1:3, although it could have been 4:3, which Rennes missed everything. 20 shots and 10 corners, and only one goal from the penalty spot. Sevilla scored three goals from four chances.
