thanks and sorry again
Reading - Derby
Championship
So despite a 21-point deduction for going into administration, Derby have a chance of survival thanks to 3 consecutive wins over promotion chasing West Brom and Stoke City and mid-table Blackpool. A 4th win in a row is a big ask, but Reading is technically the “easiest” of the 4 sides. Reading have also had a points deduction and without that they’d be mid-table, but still below Blackpool. Cancel both sides deductions and Derby would hold a 1-point lead over Reading in 14th and 15th position respectively.
Nobody can deny that Rooney is doing a fantastic job, even to give the club hope is an achievement. If they were to survive, they would be the first club in England to survive relegation after being put into administration. That should be some motivation for the Rams’ players.
Reading’s main problem is their injury list. Lucas Joao and Yakou Meite were two of their best scorers last season, but both are out injured.
Backing Derby is a risk, but they don’t lose too many games. So I’m going to back them to avoid defeat here. They should see this as a huge game for their survival hopes.
