Porto - Chelsea
I think this match has a lot of possibilities to finish with not a lot of goals. My assumption is based on the expected gameplay imposed by both teams and by the important absences that Porto has in attack.
To begin with the absences, Porto will miss its best scorers in Mehdi Taremi and Sergio Oliveira both suspended. These are very important absences and considering Chelsea’s performances in defense in last couple of months, except for last match against WBA, I find it hard for Porto to threaten a lot Chelsea.
Chelsea’s style since appointing Tuchel as manager has been very conservative. They have been in great form winning almost every match showing great compatibility in defense but not so much in attack. I expect the same to happen today.
I believe Porto’s tactic will surely be thing about defense first and then see if they can threaten Chelsea with counter attacks or set pieces. On the other hand I expect Chelsea to dictate the game but not to throw themselves heavily in attack.
So I expect a very balanced game today and the possibility for low scoring game is very probable.
