thanks and sorry again
Oxford - Rotherham
After postponed match against Wigan on weekend cause their covid crisis Oxford played and won against bottom tabled Fleetwood in last round in spite to have many players – all three first team keepers including – out.
Oxford remain in same bad situation, with emergency loan from Birmingham – where played only 1 time but 23 times on loan for league one teams last season – Trueman in goal.
Added to the three first keepers, all the other missings, cause covid or injuries, will not return: cotopscorer Taylor ( 6g) and second scorer Sykes ( 4g) are among the other players in quarantine as Moore ( def.11), Thorniley ( def.15), Forde ( mdif.7) and Moushino ( def.2sub). Gorrin ( midf.11+2) and Winnall ( def.2+3).
So, again 14 players, plus emergency keeper, available for hosts, at second match in few days and at Eve of usual congested December run and the opponenti s at least one level above then Fleetwood.
Leader Rotherham has best attack of league with impressive number: 34g scored, topscorer Smith (12g) is second scorer of league, Wiles and Ladapo scored 11g togheter, it is only team with two assistmen in first six ones ( all with five assists) of league.
Against these number hosts are surely disavantaged: Also with only 18g against they suffered against Fleetwood, too, and now have only one clean sheet in last 14 rounds.
But Rotherham has also the best defense in league ( 13 against but seven of them before middle of september, when suffered last defeat ( 4-2 against Fleetwood.
Trainer of guests said about Rathbone ( midf.14+1 1g) and Miller ( att.5+6 1g) doubtful, but the first could return.
