Polish Super Cup match is being played in Warsaw at 8 pm CET. The host is champion Legia, and the guest is Rakow Czestochowa, who won the Polish Cup for the first time this year. Legia, as the biggest Polish club, has played the Super Cup many times (in recent years mostly lost), while Rakow is playing this match for the first time.

Legia started new season with two extremely important victories in the Champions League as they twice defeated Norwegian champions Bodo Glimt (3:2, 2:0). In the 2nd qualifying round will play against Estonian Flora from Tallinn, and the first match is on Wednesday. Therefore, for coach Czeslaw Michniewicz, this duel came as an ideal general test for matches with the Estonians.

- We will do everything to play the best possible match tonight. We want to win this match, that is our goal. We will definitely make some changes in the line-up, but I expect the team to play a good game. Rakow will certainly also want to do a main test before playing in the European Cups, so it looks like a nice match. This is a trophy to be lifted and we want to win it, especially since it hasn't been in our Ziazienkowska street for a long time, although there was no lack of opportunities for that. I’ve talked to the players and they want to play in the strongest possible line-up, so they can fight for this trophy. We know Rakow will play in the optimal and strong line-up and the result is an open question. Guests are a good team, we played recently and although we won, the game was very close and everything could have turned out differently - says Legia coach Czeslaw Michniewicz, who is missing injured Artur Jedrzejczyk, Mateusz Holownia and Bartosz Kapustka, but he has enough solutions for their positions in defense and midfield.

Rakow is a small and unknown Polish club, which had a great last season and won the 2nd qualifying round of the European Conference League by winning the Polish Cup, and will play first european game against Suduva from Lithuania on Thursday.

In Rakow, they have significant ambitions in the new season, they kept the team together, and only defender Kamil Piatkowski, who joined RB Salzburg, and Slovak goalkeeper Dominik Holec, who ran out of loans from Sparta Prague, left. And since his replacement and compatriot Branislav Pindroch has also left, 23-year-old Bosnian Vladan Kovačević is now the first goalkeeper.

That position is the most critical for Rakow, and a lot of goals were conceded in the preparations matches, but the attack was great and made up for it all like last season. In the preparatory matches this summer, they lost against Lechia Gdansk 2:4, and in July in Austria they beat Shakhtar Donetsk 2:1 and tied with WSG Tyrol 3:3 and RB Salzburg 2:2.

Sebastian Musiolik can prove to be the “secret weapon” of coach Papshun, who has scored many important goals for Rakow and spent almost the entire previous season on loan at Pordenone in Italian Serie B.

- Legia is a very good team, the best in Poland. The Legionnaires showed they are in good shape, beating Norwegian champion Bodo twice. Coach Czeslaw Michniewicz has a strong, even team that has been strengthened before the new season. It's suitable for a match in European cups. We will certainly have a difficult task in Warsaw, but we will want to make a surprise - said coach Marek Papszun, who announced the strongest team for start.

Super Cup is a fight for a trophy, but still a revial match that is played without pressure and calculations. Both coaches have announced the best players for starting 11, the motive also exists and this should be a match for goal more. Their last four games in the league ended with the results 2:0, 2:1, 2: 2 and 3:1, and now both teams are offensively oriented, have very good strikers and without a doubt that we should see at least 3 goals in Warsaw tonight...

HALF LOST Score: 1:1 Profit: -0.5
