2nd round in Finnish cup FC Lahti against newcomer KTP.


FC Lahti showed strong teamwork in first cupgame against big favourite HJK last week.Game ended 1-1,but FC Lahti had equal chances to get victory against most expensive and succesful team in 21 century in Finland.


FC Lahti lost couple of last season regulars when away moved keeper Patrick Rakovsky,midfielders Valdrin Rashica,Mikko Kuningas,Teemu Jantti,attackers Vahid Hambo and Dimitry Imbongo.


New signings are experienced keeper Antonio Reguero,midfielder Loorents Hertsi,attackers Kristian Yli-Hietanen and Eliecer Espinosa.


Awayteam KTP are newcomer in toplevel of Finland after they managed promote after qualification games against TPS,they started their cup with homeloss against HIFK(0-1).Away have moved last season best scorer Spanish attacker Mika(16/11) also away have moved defenders Tuomas Ollila,Ruxi and Hindrek Ojamaa.New signings are defenders Fran Alvarez,Ivan Vasiljevic midfielder Johannes Laaksonen,attackers Antoni Huttunen,Aleksi Tarvonen and loan from Inter Turku Matias Tamminen.


FC Lahti miss against HJK still quite many players,but they managed to challenge against biggest possible opponent of Finland.Midfielder Loorents Hertsi(suspended) are out for sure,but there should be anyway more options to choose than week ago.KTP`s biggest problem right now in early season is that they are middle of building new team so that effected into their performances in this cup tournament.Out of action are for sure defender Paavo Voutilainen,Nigerian defender Michael Ogunbaro have arrived yesterday in Finland so its still mysterious if are in squad tomorrow just like new defenders Alvarez and Vasiljevic.


FC Lahti have sofar showed much more balanced teamwork and that gives them clear advantage against KTP who still are middle of building their new team.

    No special reason,so even better if bookies moved odds higher.

    I really not expected that odds moved higher, because like i already writed KTP's teamwork are far away from 100% and more routined FC Lahti have showed clearly stronger teamwork.Also attacker Espinosa are ready tomorrow perform first time in FC Lahti's squad and they have lots of expections from him.. I cant see this game to go only oneway.. Homewin.

    Also KTP's last friendly against weakened Ilves they lost only 3-2 even Ilves had good scoringchances to score at least 6-7 goals.

    FC Lahti not suffer much for they missing players,because they have already played without those players and show strong performance against strongest opponent in Finland(HJK) in really equal game(1-1) last week.Most important to FC Lahti is that their last season most important player Jasin Assehnoun(scored against HJK) is fit,Jasin was last season one of rising star in Veikkausliiga with huge longrange goals.FC KTP have not managed sofar strenghtened their squad after they promoted into Veikkausliiga and new players like Vasiljevic and Alvarez have sofar not been available to play and im 100% sure that if they come to play today very first game in new team its never come to be easy to play first game with new team.That is not only problem in KTP,they dont have enough options to fill every positions(missing wingback) so they must use different players in wrong positions.All in all i dont understand how bookies find reason to moved FC Lahti odds any higher than 1.80.
