Very interesting game tonight at Ashton Gate Stadium where Bristol City hosts Bournemouth. I believe that this match is much closer than the bookies suggests and that is the reason why I will trust Bristol not to lose this match. I believe they have the capabilities to take at least a point from inconsistent team of Bournemouth.

After a series of seven consecutive defeats which saw Bristol City’s hopes for playoff place vanish, a change in the helm made things better and after the appointment of the experienced Nigel Pearson in charge Bristol has won two games in row.

Nigel Pearson has kicked off his spell in charge of Bristol City with two impressive wins against Swansea City and Middlesbrough, both in the top six. Both those teams were in good run of their own.

Those wins put Bristol City currently in 11th place, but as the result of a congested race for the play-offs, Bristol City is only seven points off of their rivals and with a potential win tonight their hopes to make a play-off appearance will be realistic again.

With the appointment of Pearson at the helm, it is clear to see that Bristol City has its confidence back. Now they have to bring that mindset, positivity and belief back to Ashton Gate where another play-off opponent in Bournemouth lie in wait.

On the other hand Bournemouth's latest form has been very inconsistent and in their last five matches has seen them pick up two wins against Watford and Rotherham United, loses to Cardiff City and QPR, and a draw versus Nottingham Forest.

Bournemouth desperately need the three points here to ensure they remain inside the playoff places as they have already dropped a lot of points, but their performances away from home have not been very good.

They are traveling to Ashton Gate after failing to win any of their last four away matches in the league. Overall in the season so far they have won only four of their 16 away matches in the Championship showing that away from home they are vulnerable.

For Bristol City no new missing players beside the long term injured Weimann, DaSilva, O”Dowda, Martin and Rowe. While Bournemouth will miss due to injury Brooks and Stacey, while Wilshere will miss due to his red card received in last match against Watford.

To sum up, I really believe that odds should be closer for this match and Bristol has all the capacities to take another important result. I expect Bournemouth to be more under pressure for a result as they are in a fierce battle for a playoff spot and I think this suits better for Bristol. So Bristol not to lose is my call.
