Bosnia and Herzegovina and France will play in the Group D qualification match for World Cup in Qatar tonight at 8.45 pm CET in Sarajevo. So far, B&H has played one game in this group and drew with Finland 2:2, while France played 1:1 against Ukraine and won as a guest Kazakhstan 2:0.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is led by Bulgarian coach Ivaylo Petev, who wasn't greeted with sympathy in footbal public, and has one of the weaker generations in the last ten years. Edin Džeko (Roma) and Miralem Pjanić (Barcelona) can only be high quality players and the other players are pure average.

Against Finland, B&H managed to somehow avoid defeat, but in a friendly match with Costarica three days ago, they played only 0:0. Coach Petev announced a 5-3-2 defensive formation aware that the opponent is much better, and counter-attacks and set-pieces will be the hopes of the hosts.

However, the guests will certainly attack, and B&H is in a bad series of results. The home side have failed to win any of their last 10 matches in all competitions. This 10-match sequence includes six defeats of which four have been inflicted upon Bosnia-Herzegovina on home pitch, with losses incurred against Poland, Northern Ireland, Iran and Italy.

The current world champion France didn't manage to beat Ukraine, it ended 1:1, although it was supposed to be 3:0 in the first half. But football is like that, sometimes the weaker team manages to achieve a positive result, but French come to Sarajevo with one thought, and that is - victory.

Selector Didier Deschamps will not calculate, all important players have arrived in Sarajevo (Griezmann, Mbappe, Dembele, Coman, Pogba, Raboit...) and domination on the field is expected in all 90 minutes, strong rhythm and constant pressure on the home defense. I

In the previous four duels of these countries, two friendly and two competitive, B&H selection didn't achieve any victories. France celebrated twice, while two matches ended without a winner. Having lost just once in their last 17 matches in all competitions, France bring a far superior sequence of results, while losing just one of last 13 World Cup qualifiers matches too.

France have also proved to be tough opponents away from home in World Cup qualifiers, losing just two of their last 16 matches at this level. Within this period, France have picked up nine wins on the road and along with their previous away wins at Bosnia-Herzegovina. Today Deschamps’s side look set to add new three points tally and take lead at the top of the group.

This is a match of two qualitatively different rivals, the hosts average, and the guests among the three best national teams in the world. At least two goals difference for France is logical result of the match at the Grbavica stadium.

Possible first 11:

Bosnia and Herzegovina: Šehić - Hadžikadunić, Ahmedhodžić, Saničanin, Todorović, Ćivić - Pjanić, Cimirot, Krunić - Duljević, Džeko

France: Lloris - Pavard, Varane, Kimpembe, Hernandez - Pogba, Rabiot, Dembele, Coman - Griezmann, Mbappe

LOST Score: 0:1 Profit: -1
