Arsenal vs Liverpool

This is a clash between two Top-6 sides in the Premier League. The bad thing is both teams are in deep crisis this season. So, what could we expect from this match? According to me, goals. At least three, maybe more. After all, this is the most efficient fixture in the Premier League history with 166 goals - no other Premier League fixture have produced more goals.

Arsenal have nothing to play for, except the pride. The Gunners are 9th in the table with 42 points and they can't reach the Champions League spots. But of course, that doesn't mean they won't give the maximum. After all, this is England, every team play until the last round. The current results are solid, including the derbies. Arsenal beat Leicester City with 3-1 at King Power and beat Tottenham at home with 2-1. The home form is quite good, Arsenal have lost just one of their past 8 home Premier League games, winning 4 and drawing three. The Gunners have some issues as Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe are rated as doubtful with injury, but I expect at least one of them to recover. David Luiz is sidelined with a knee injury. At the end I will mention that Arsenal  will face Slavia Prague on Thursday in UEFA Europa League. This competition is the only chance for Gunners to play in the Champions League next season.

Liverpool are in the biggest crisis in their history. The reigning champions have 6 defeats on the last 8 league matches. They lost to some mediocre teams like Brighton and Fulham. However, even the defeats from Manchester City and Chelsea are unacceptable, Liverpool are top team with top players. Manager Jurgen Klopp is under big pressure, but his job is safe. Fourth place is far away, they need to lift the trophy in the Champions League in order to play in the competition next season. But Real Madrid is the best European club, it won't be easy to eliminate them. Even more as Klopp is still missing three key central defenders - Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip remain out. That's not all as captain Jordan Henderson is also sidelined.

So, we have a Top-6 clash, but the pressure isn't too high. The upcoming matches in Europe are more important at the moment. Both teams have excellent strikers - Aubemeyang, Lacazette, Pepe on one side, Salah, Firmino, Jota and Mane on the other side. There should be goals.
